LOL, I'm sure some are asking that question and now that I've had a little rest and can actually think, here's the rest of the scoop.
Committees were made. An official logo was come up with so that we can get some shirts for the tournament and someone is working on the logo. Did I say something about shirts? Yes. We will have shirts for the tournament. We will be asking for outside vendors to come in to take care of food this year. We discussed having a silent auction, 50/50, and a mystery out for the tournament. We discussed testing the tournament software I found at the After Taxes tournament in April. We will be in touch with a few of you that we thought might be interested in contributing because of special talents. We discussed that Bell Lemley is sponsoring chalker prizes and will also be setting up at the tournament site to sell flights, shafts, darts, and other accessories that we may need during the tournament weekend. A tenative date for the end of May was set for the ADA end-of season banquet. The next board meeting and first tournament committee meeting was scheduled. And, last but certainly not least, about a week ago, when our tournament was posted onto the ADO calender, we discovered that we had to finalize the sanctioning. Therefore, we completed the necessary paperwork and sent it with a money order for sanctioning out in this morning's mail. Amy Moore, our regional director, is aware of the situation and has assured us that sanctioning will be completed quickly once she receives the contract and money. We expect the paperwork to reach her hands no later than next Monday or Tuesday at the very latest and she knows it's on its way. She will approve it, as she has already looked over the tournament schedule and saw no problems and will forward it on to Chris, our area director, and he will forward it on to the ADO office where they will make the change on the ADO calender to a sanctioned tournament!
